A Y F N supports and teaches family members with children and youth with emotional/behavioral or neural-behavioral problems to:

  • teach family members to develop a personalized recovery management system built on their individual and community assets and strengths

  • network with other youth, parents and professionals

  • become equal partners in the delivery of family and youth driven best practices in a system of care for Alaskans

Parenting with Love and Logic - Anchorage Classes

Anchorage classes have started again.  Our class series beginning Wednesday Sept. 8 IS FULL. Please call our office for more information or ask to be placed on the already growing waiting list for our next evening or Saturday class series in Anchorage!  We are also taking registrations for the Fairbanks and Juneau classes. Join us for a 7 week course, "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent." Geared for parenting a child or teen with behavioral or neurobehavioral health issues. Suitable for parents of children of all ages! Kids pushing your buttons? Draining your energy? Out-thinking you? Arguing? Come and join us! Listen to some examples of Parenting with Love and Logic. New classes begin monthly in Anchorage and run for seven sessions of 2 hours each. To register or make an inquiry as to the next available class, call us at 770-4979. Childcare for this 7 week series is available onsite for a small fee, however advance planning is required. Please mention your needs when registering.
