These courses are recommended for parents, educators, professionals, and anyone who would like to get a good understanding of FASD, from someone considered to be a local authority on the subject. If you would like to register for any of these trainings, call 561-3701.
This 4 hour workshop is an introduction to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and will provide the knowledge base essential to understanding and working with individuals who have had prenatal exposure to alcohol. Participants will explore common false beliefs about FASD, learn about the impact of alcohol on the developing fetus, study specific areas of the brain and the critical roles they play and gain awareness of strategies that can lead to successful outcomes for individuals with FASD.
Participants will receive a training certificate for this state approved workshop.
