Autism 209: Behavioral "Sensory Processing, Compulsive Behaviors"

Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington have put together two great series of informational lectures on various aspects of the Autism Spectrum - Autism 101 and the Autism 200 series. Autism 101 is the same lecture presented on different dates. The Autism 200 series will be a monthly lecture featuring a different topic and speaker each month (dates and times below). SESA and the AARC (Alaska Autism Resource Center) are pleased to offer this series in Alaska free of charge. To connect via video teleconferencing, from another area: Access to video teleconferencing equipment, such as Polycom, and to an Internet connection (SESA uses GCI's SchoolAccess, using a router to connect to a partial T1 line) should be arranged. Many rural school districts have this type of equipment, as do some other sites. Please follow your district or agency procedures to schedule the video teleconference with your service provider. Call 206-789-0883 for the Children's Hospital registration line. The online links are: Autism 101 Class For the Autism 200 Series Local Anchorage participants are welcome to attend at SESA's Anchorage Office: 3501 Denali - Suite 101. We will be in the Boardroom, which has a 20 - 25 person limit. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Participants may also teleconference in by dialing 1-888-254-2858 and requesting to join the SESA Autism Class conference, specifying the course you are joining (see below). There is a limit of 10 telephone connections, so you may want to get a group together and use a speakerphone. If you are not able to participate during this time, or do not have access to the equipment, Seattle Children's Hospital will be recording the presentation to be available online at some later time. If you have any questions about connecting to this conference, please call Anne Freitag at (907-334-1301), or email afreitag@sesa.org. On the night of the teleconference, you may call 907-334-1347.
