Come to AYFN's Parenting Support Group, have alight meal, drink some coffee, and talk with other parents who are experiencing the same issues, frustrations and difficulties in a non-judgmental environment. Your kids can come and hang out with other kids and do cool stuff! Our staff involves your kids in fun activities while you recharge your parenting batteries. All ages are welcome!

Dyslexia 101: What's it like to have dyslexia

The newly formed Alaska Branch of the International Dyslexia Association is proud to offer a free workshop that allows people to see what it is like to live with dyslexia. On Saturday, October 24 from 10am to 3pm at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage, you can experience dyslexia through an interactive simulation. There will be a two-part lecture and a question and answer period. Please go to: www.ak-dyslexia.org or call 337-0460 for more information.
